great staff but average room comfort
The staff were exceptionally accommodating, as Mayer kindly assisted me after my late arrival. George frequently checked on my well-being and offered great service, making me feel welcomed during my stay.
The room comfort didn't meet my expectations given the high standards.

missingWrote a review on Sept 17retro decorkitchenette spacecleanliness issues
The kitchenette offers a good amount of space for basic meal prep, which can be handy for longer stays. The vibrant, retro decor stands out and has a certain charm that might appeal to those who appreciate a unique aesthetic.
The lack of cleanliness is a significant concern with very dirty room floors and dead bugs on the bathroom window sill. The absence of a deadbolt on the door leaves a feeling of insecurity, and the chain lock is ineffective. Ants crawling on the bathroom floor add to the discomfort. The bed springs are incredibly noisy, making for a restless night, and the limited plug situation behind the nightstand was a hassle for charging devices. Plus, the distance from the beach is misleading. it's far enough that a stroll isn't feasible, making the location less convenient than hoped.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
We spent three nights enjoying the spacious room, but noted it could use some updates. The sunset views were lovely, and the location made sightseeing easy. Pro tip, check for extra amenities ahead of time, as we had to ask for some during our stay.

The close proximity to Ventura Harbor made our family fishing trip super easy, and it was a fun outing for everyone.
My kids wished there were more kid-friendly activities nearby.

Good for a Solo Traveler's Need
I gotta say, the staff here were cute, especially this George. She was checking in on me, and it just felt like customer service should be. I arrived at 3 AM, and Mayer woke up to get me into a room, which was a lifesaver after that long drive.
It wasn't exactly a bargain though, not cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of my room, along with the very responsive and friendly service from the owner. The kitchenette was a convenient addition, making my stay very enjoyable and stress-free.
Stronger Wi-Fi connectivity would enhance the experience.

missingWrote a review on Feb 12polite staffkitchenettedirty roomconstant noiselack of amenities
The king room with kitchenette had clear signs of neglect, including burn marks on the sink and an overall uncleanliness that made it uncomfortable. Though the owner and staff were exceptionally polite, their efforts could not compensate for the rooms' dire conditions. Outside noise was a constant disturbance, making it hard to relax, despite a nice pizza place in the vicinity. With better options available at lower prices, I would not choose this place again.
